Full-Time Staff Positions General Manager: Oversees the rest of the staff and keeps the office running smoothly. S/he is supervised by the Board and advises teh Coordinating Committee. Director of Education: In charge of alumni programs and everything that teaches embers about co-ops. Advises Education and Diversity Committees. Director of Financial Servies: Pay bills like mortgages and taxes and supervises the finance assistant. Advises teh Finance Committee. Maintenance Team: Two people who share a wealth of expertise with our maintenance managers. One handles inspections and the other is responsible for paying bills and contractors. Advises Development and Maintenance committees. Member Services Team: Two people who handle front desk operations and field member concerns. Supervision of Marketing Intern and Webmaster. Advise Contract Release, Membership and Recruitment Committees.
What are the Teams? Sustainability Resource Team: Exists
to educate members about sustainability, environmental concerns, and
to encourage and assist houses in projects such as recycling and composting. Technology Resource Team: The Tech Team
assists houses with computer, wiring an other technology issues. They
are not a tech support hotline. Web Team: The Web Team helps the webmaster
keep the ICC website up to date (www.icc.coop).
ICC Board of Directors ICC President: Elected to a one-year term each year in March by a vote from all ICC members. Facilities meetings & serves as non-voting member. Vice-Presidents: Elected b the Board in March to be committee chairs for one-year term. Serve as non-voting members of the board. Board Representative: Elected by each house in April for a one-year term. They act as the voting body of the Board. General Manager: Hired by the Board and serves as non-voting member of the Board.
What are the Committees? Coordinating: "CoCo"
is the executive committee of the Board of Directors and sets the board
agendas. Development" "Devo is responsible
for thinking about ICC expansion. It also prepares and administers the
maintenance budget. Diversity: "DivCom" the Diversity Committee acts
as a resource to promote education about diversity of ICC's membership. Education: "EdCom" education committee is in charge
of all the publications of the ICC. It is also responsible for training
sessions like New Member Orientation. The Ed Com's focus is to inform
the membership in general about co-op principles and events. Finance: "FinCom" this committee formulates finance
policy, prepares the annual budget, and monitors debtors. Maintenance: This committee is comprised
of all the maintenance managers from each house. This group meets bi-weekly
to share information about the houses with the group about its condition
and coordinate goals and projects. Maintenance also works with the Maintenance
Coordinator on large projects like buying a house. Membership: "MemCom" deals with house operation
and membership issues. Sets policy for contract rules and member-to-member
conflict resolution. Recruitment: "ReCo" is in charge
of getting the word out about the ICC to the surrounding community through
ads and incentives. |
